I distinctly remember every spring when my mom took my sister and me to the fabric store to pick out our fabric for our Easter dresses (that was the fun part). Then, day after day, for several weeks, Mom would stand each of us up on the kitchen chair to test the progress of the new dresses, at that point only a brightly colored dress-shaped cut outs with straight pins holding them together. Mom, knowing she had a small window, would measure, mark, and pin as quickly as she could, begging me to stand still. And if I did move, I invariably got stung by a straight pin.

As a little girl, I looked forward, with excitement, to the day when I would finally wear that dress, the dress I designed in my own mind, describing as best I could the exact print, and color and shape to my mother. She was my creator, and I was her dream. Today we share this very dream by bringing you Leslie Bee…

My mom, myself and Marsha, a very dear and incredibly talented friend of ours, sat around Marsha’s kitchen table Christmas night 2007 and began the journey of creating custom designed dresses to fit and match that particular little girl and her doll.

Leslie Bee is excited to announce our Spring and Summer 2011 line. Please be sure to check back as we continue to add designs to the site on a weekly basis.

Designs are avaialable in sizes 6 month to Girls 12. Please specify your size/measurements in the notes caption at checkout. Measurements needed are sleeve length, chest, waist and height for the most accurate fit.

The advantage of our custom design allows you to choose any design with any fabric. Therefore, you can choose your favorite design, fabric and size for your little girl and her doll.

We also offer design consultation for any special occassion, including flower girl dresses.
